BEST OAK® 8MT – Oak Chips for Structure and Complex Wood Aromas

BEST OAK® 8MT are high-quality toasted oak chips made from German oak for use in winemaking. A special toasting process creates reproducible aroma profiles that give the wine additional structure and complex wood notes.

The chips consist of carefully selected heartwood from German oak trees and have an edge length of approximately 8 mm. They are ideal for flavoring and improving the structure of red and white wines.

During maturation, the oak chips release typical wood notes such as vanilla, chocolate, and coconut into the wine, while also supporting color stability and mouthfeel.

Application

The oak chips can be placed directly into the tank or barrel. Alternatively, they can be used in "infusion bags," which allows for easy removal of the chips after treatment.

The recommended contact time is approximately 4 to 6 weeks. After treatment, the wine should be filtered to completely remove the chips.
