Trub-ex
Trub-ex – cellulose fibres as press and filter aid for mash and Trub
Trub-ex is a long-fiber, very voluminous cellulose product to support pressing and filtration processes in viticulture and beverage processing.
The specially prepared cellulose fibers have a high liquid absorption and provide an improved structure in the press cake. As a result, liquid can be absorbed efficiently and recovered during pressing, while tart particles are reliably retained in the fiber structure.
Product characteristics
- Voluminous cellulose fibres as a pressing aid
- Improves the structure of the press cake
- Increases press yield and degree of clearing
- High liquid absorption capacity
- Biodegradable
Application as a pressing aid
The long cellulose fibers improve the drainage in the press cake and facilitate the pressing of low-structure mash. Trub-ex is particularly suitable for:
- Grapes with a low solid structure
- problematic grape mash
- stored fruit
- hard-to-press mash
Through use, the Press duration shortened and Yield and degree of clearing improved will become.
Application for chest processing
The cellulose is homogeneously stirred into the pulp. The fibers absorb liquid and bind the particles of tart contained therein. The resulting Trub fiber mixture can then be pressed out, resulting in a well clarified product.
Dosage
- 1 – 3 kg Trub-ex per 100 kg mash
- 1 – 3 kg Trub-ex per 100 L Trub
Application
The cellulose fibres are plucked from the compressed bale before use and ideally preswollen briefly in liquid (about 2 minutes). Alternatively, the fibers can be stirred directly into the mash or the tow.
Other characteristics
- 100 % biodegradable
- Compostable depending on the processed tart
- delivered in compressed bales
Trub-ex is a proven tool for pressing processes and Trub processing in a professional winery.
