SIHA® Actiliq GE – High-purity activated carbon for odour and taste correction

SIHA® Actiliq GE is a highly pure activated carbon of vegetable origin for the targeted removal of odour and taste defects in wine, must, juices, spirits and beer.

Thanks to a special activation process, SIHA Actiliq GE has a particularly large inner surface area and an optimized pore structure. This effectively adsorbs undesirable aroma substances. Compared to conventional powdered coal, the product enables low-dust and safe handling.

Scope of application

• Wine (e.g. rotting, bitter or rappen taste)
• Must and mash
• Fruit juices
• Spirit drinks
• Beer

Dosage (indicative values)

• Wine: 10 – 100 g/hl (legal upper limit 100 g/hl)
• Mash/must: 30 – 80 g/hl
• Spirit drinks: 100 – 500 g/hl
• Beer: 5 – 100 g/hl depending on the error pattern

The exact dosage should be determined by preliminary tests.

Indication of use

Before addition, it is advisable to prepare a suspension and vigorously stir it in. Stir again after about 1 hour. The tapping should be carried out by filtration at the latest after two days.

Storage

Keep cool, dry and odorless. Seal opened packaging tightly.
