Pro Tanin R
Pro Tanin R® – Proanthocyanide Tannin for Red Wine
Pro Tanin R® is a preparation specially developed for red wines from Proanthocyanide tanninswhich are extracted with water and immediately soluble. Tannin supports color stabilization and strengthens the antioxidant effect during winemaking.
Pro Tanin R® helps to prevent the abrupt loss of dyes by reactions with proteins and thereby supports the Stabilisation of Colour. At the same time, the preparation has antioxidant properties and can inhibit laccase activity in grapes affected by Botrytis. This protects anthocyanins and supports their stabilization.
For colour stability and protection against oxidation
Pro Tanin R® has been specially developed for the requirements of red wine production. It supports the stability of the color and increases the antioxidant power of the wine. This can improve the long-term stability and quality of the red wine.

Dosage
| Application | Dosage |
|---|---|

| Grapes affected by Botrytis | 30–80 g/hl |
| Finishing | 5–15 g/hl |
In the case of healthy grapes, the dosage depends, inter alia, on the degree of ripeness. In the case of botrytised grapes, the dosage shall be determined in accordance with: Botrytest® adapted to certain laccase activity.
Application
First dissolve Pro Tanin R® in a subset of must or wine. Then, during the Over-pumping or moving Put it in the tank. In this way, a distribution which is as uniform as possible in the entire package is achieved.
For botrytised grapes, the laccase activity can be determined using the Botrytest®. The activity determined serves as the basis for the adjusted quantity to Pro Tanin R®.
The quantity of tannin required depends on the particular type of wine and the desired oenological objectives. In order to comply with the Oenological Code (OIV), consultation with an oenologist is recommended.
