Klarovin W
Klarovin® W – Low-Dust Universal Powder Coal for Wine
Klarovin® W is a high-quality, plant-based activated carbon for beverage treatment in winemaking. It is suitable for the targeted adsorption of colour defects as well as odour and taste defects, e.g. mould or rotten shades in white wine, young wine and grape must. Klarovin® W is approved as a processing aid and complies with the OIV Code COEI-1-CHARBO.
Mode of action
The low-dust powder form ensures a simple and safe application in the cellar. Klarovin® W effectively adsorbs unwanted sensory errors, contributing to a clearer, cleaner wine. Errors such as wood tones, bucks or microbiological problems such as volatile acid are less strongly adsorbed.
Application
Klarovin® W is added directly to the beverage to be treated and stirred intensively for several minutes. Stir again 2 to 3 times at short intervals. After about 24 hours, the adsorption is complete. The activated carbon must then be separated from the drink, since the adsorption is reversible. For carbon treatments to a sufficient SO2Pay attention to supply, as coal can promote oxidative processes.
Ecology and authorisation
Klarovin® W is approved according to EU regulation 2018/848 for the preparation of organic wine and can be used in organic wines.
Storage
Store in a dry, well-ventilated and odor-neutral place. Activated carbon adsorbs odors and can otherwise absorb them.
