FermoBent® PORE-TEC
FermoBent® PORE-TEC – Low-iron bentonite for fermentation
FermoBent® PORE-TEC is an extremely low-iron, highly effective bentonite granulate for must treatment during fermentation. It can remain directly in the must and is separated after fermentation together with the yeast lees – without additional work step.
Due to its targeted porous sponge-like surface structure, FermoBent® PORE-TEC enables particularly intensive and selective protein adsorption and supports an optimized fermentation process.
Benefits at a glance
- Extremely low in iron – no additional need for blue beauty
- Directly meterable in fermentation
- Optimized CO2 escape through increased inner surface area
- Selective protein and confounder adsorption
- Short weaning time after fermentation
- No separate thigh separation required
Application & Dosage
- Mean protein contents: 50–150 g/100 L
- High protein content or high pH: 200–300 g/100 L
Pre-swelling in 5-10 times the amount of water with 4-6 hours of swelling time is optimal. The addition takes place in the fermentation container before the addition of yeast and nutrients. Ensure thorough mixing.
